A Sigh Of Relief

I’m holding on so tight that it’s slipping through my fingers. I’m watching it as it happens right before my eyes but still, don’t. want. to. let. go.

Everything in me is fighting to let go but yet fighting to hold on. These two sides living in me are tearing me apart. But yet, still, won’t let go.

I experience both sides, the joys of letting go and the sadness of holding on. I can’t breathe but neither can you.

But wait! I’m going to get to the bottom of this, that I am for sure.

Digging Deep, Digging Deep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Highly functioning people look for solutions. They are known as solution oriented people.
The greatest priority in life is the ability to enjoy it. People who know how to do that; how to take each day that they are alive, and go through it and enjoy it are never a burden to anybody else. This is the least selfish thing that you could ever do in your entire life. ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
I aspire to be and do just that.
Smiles, Butterflies, and Tigers Oh My!
These are the pics that I promised to share from the day we went to Doughnuts and Dinosaurs! I hope that all of you Mamas and Papas have had a chance to check out the show with your little ones, and if you haven’t then what are you waiting for?? Your kids will love jumping aboard the Dino Train and catching all the fun with Buddy and his friends. The show airs on GPB. You can click on the link to find out the time and dates of the show!!
Below are pictures of a few of the Mom Bloggers that were there. Top left to right: Amy at The Q Family Adventures, Krystal at Krystal Grant’s Guide To Life, Christie at My Life…A Work In Progress. Bottom left to right:  Renee, Dawn at My Home Sweet Home Online, Lorraine at Ask Wifey, and Akilah at Execumama Online!
It’s always a pleasure to meet and reconnect with Moms who are pursing their dreams and passions and allowing us to have a snippet of it through their blogs. These ladies are all phenomenal bloggers, please visit them and check out what’s happening in their world.
We had such a fun time with our kids!! They enjoyed having their faces painted, taking a joyride on the mini cart, watching the first preview show of Dinosaur Train, arts and crafts and taking lots of pictures to show. Daddy (as usual) is the Man behind the camera who loves to catch me and our kids in candid acts, just chillin’, and having plain ole fun! He’s got an eye for the camera for sure; a gift bestowed upon him by his late Grandad.
Little Joshy decided that the face painting thing was not for him and enjoyed his time balloon sword fighting with another little kid his age.
I will be posting the rest of the pictures on my Facebook and Flickr pages later this week!!
Dear Goddess By LiYana Silver
I was browsing through my email for the first time in a few days and I came across this letter written to me by a lovely lady, whose work has inspired me to live out my life to it’s fullest. She’s inspired me to live orgasmically, blissfully, and wondrously free and maybe she can do the same for you! I live my life open to receiving what I can learn from anyone I choose and even though I may not agree with everything I’m not in the least bit concerned with allowing myself to learn from them. There are many teachers and guides all coming from different points of views but sometimes if you listen closely enough you’ll find they are saying the same thing. You’d be surprised if you would just open yourselves and allow your desires to lead you to where you need to go and what you need to learn. The letter, short and sweet, touched my inner core and moved me deeply, hope it does the same for you ~~~
"Dear Goddess:
The lady reading this is beautiful, classy, strong and I love her.
Help her live her life to the fullest.
Please promote her and cause her to excel above her expectations.
Help her shine in the darkest places where it seems impossible to
love.
Protect her at all times, and lift her up when she needs you the
most.
And let her know that she walks with you, and that she will
always be safe and beloved.”
Have a sweet, sweet week,
LiYana
Who’s That Lady? Ms. Chyna Williams!
I’m always inspired by beautiful women whose light is an inspiration to me and to others. When one of those women catches my eye I have to look twice so that I can get to know her and what she’s all about! I want to know what makes her tick! What keeps her motivated to do what she does? How does she do it all, with all that she’s responsible for? You know, questions that run through your mind when you meet someone that just makes you say….ahhh!
Well, I’ve had the privilege of knowing one of these ladies since high school! We were the best of friends and we hung out together all the time. Those of you who went to school with us know what I’m talking about :-) Thanks to, yup, Facebook again, we have re-united and rekindled our relationship. When we got back together she had so much going on that I wanted to know all about it. When we lost touch she had one child, now she’s got five!! She’s got several successful businesses, is always on the go, and has a wonderful relationship with one of the most loving men that I’ve gotten to know. So I had to take a moment and introduce you to this lovely lady and hope that you are inspired to keep pursuing your dreams and desires just like she has!!
Ladies and Gentlemen…Ms. Chyna Williams
1. Who is Chyna Williams? Check out this short intro. clip to find out!
2. What inspired you to get in to dance?
It started as a business investment. My initial partner backed out after all of the paper work was signed with my name, so I had to make a go of it. My daughter was taking dance classes at the time so I took it as an opportunity to  take control of her training. I took my common sense, business know how, drive and perfectionist mentality and applied it into, Chymes Dance Studio.
The fact that I wasn't a trained dancer worked in my favor because I had an eye for what the public wanted and sought to provide classes for that demographic. Although we offered traditional genres, I took street dancers and made them the base of my staff.  The concept of real hip hop classes took off! We became one of the most popular dance schools in Atlanta. From there I founded the Atlanta Dance Invasion, a “You Got Served” come to life hip hop battle,  along with Jeremy Strong and BeeJay Harris. The dance invasion became one of the most respected dance battles in Atlanta. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=60C0FC69647FBB38.
I then started focusing on the really talented young dancers creating the young superstarz, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlXw-UAd36s. They have been featured in all of the major videos coming out of Atlanta, including but not limited to, Kerri Hislon’s “Get Your Money Up”, J. Money's “First Name Last Name”, Whoop Rico, Jeezy's “My President Is Black”, and a host of others.
3. You recently had an event called, Chyna's All Whyte Party, tell us a little about that.Showcase_flyer(f)Chyna's Whyte Party was a part of the 5th Annual Choreographers Showcase. This event showcases the top choreographers in Atlanta. The event is sponsored by bloc South, the largest dance agency in the world and the choreographers who participate in this event are the who’s who of the dance world, choreographing for everybody from Usher to Ciara.
I had the privilege to attend this event and I have to say that it was off the chain!!! Azhia (Chyna’s daughter) did a fabulous job and I can see why her mom loves what she does. Lisa C~
3. How has being in the dance industry changed your life.
It has allowed me to enter into a world that is so exciting, and although I have 5 other successful businesses the dance world is the most fun.
4. Tell us something that you wished you knew about the industry before you got involved?
Honestly learning the industry has been part of the fun.
chyna3
5. Tell us one thing that no one knows about Chyna Williams?
LOL, everything that people don't know about me I don't want them to know about me.
Check out Chyna’s daughter, Azhia in the video below gettin’ her own step on!
(she’s the one in all black on the left)
I hope you enjoyed the featured Lady of the Hour because you’ll be seeing more lovely ladies featured here on Lisa C Writes. You never know, you could be the next one!
Hugs & Smooches ~
Hey my beautiful, loveable, gorgeous people!!!
Aug16_0055
I’ve been enjoying the arms of my awesome hubby lately and spending major time with my beautiful children, love, love, love em’!!. We enjoyed an Atlanta Braves game yesterday thanks to hubby’s J.O.B, again! We all had a great time despite the Braves losing, come on Braves, what’s up with that? Hubby and I were invited by one of his customers to what we thought was a Jazz club on Saturday but turned out to be a grave disappointment, the music was so, so bad we couldn’t stand it. But, you know spending time with the hubstar (a term I got from my girl on twitter) is always fun!! At least we can say, been there done that.
I absolutely love Facebook because of all the long lost friends I’ve reconnected with. We visited one of my friends Friday night before she left for her trip to Florida and had a good time, even though it was brief.
I posted the pics that I promised to share of the night we went to the Dub Car Show on my Facebook page so if you’re friends with me there, you’ll be able to see them. They came out too dark for me to post them on my blog.
Gotta run, about to eat dinner that the hubstar just finished cooking up. See you in the week!
Putting MY $$ Where My Mouth Is!
I hope that my last post blessed you as much as it did me ~
It was just a day later, after writing my last post that I was hit with some familiar challenges, challenges that I knew all too well. My struggle came when I knew I couldn’t deal with them in the same old way, I had to push and do different. So that’s when I decided to call a friend.
We talked, or should I say, I talked and she listened. Listened to every word that I had to say and never interrupted me. I trusted her to hear my words and not judge me…for being me. Even in the midst of what may have seemed like a dark moment, I knew that she knew I was going to be ok. When she did speak she said to me, “I’m going to give you a dose of your own medicine…read your last post!”
Her words didn’t come as a surprise to me at all because all the while, while pushing past my challenges I had my last post in mind. How could I produced something so, encouraging, inspiring, and helpful and be here where I am today? The answer is a simple one and an encouraging one for me. I am continually challenged to put my money where my mouth is. In other words, I am challenged to practice what I preach! For in these shoes that I have chosen to wear through my life, I am satisfied with that, thoroughly.
The universe hears and wants to give me all that my heart desires to do and be in the lives of others, and if that means challenging me with my own words then that’s what it’ll have to be. And to that I say, thank you!
Love & Light ~
