Love the colors! They pop. Hmm, maybe a guest room.

He Fancy, Huh?

(courtesy of ABC's Nightline)

While browsing the internet I came across this clip on ABC's Nightline about Rachel Zoe and her four month old son, Skyler and his lavish wardrobe. Yes, I did say four months old and already he has more shoes than most families put together. While watching the video, all kind of questions rolled through my mind like, is it too much? If I could, would I? What is the point? Of course there must be, right? Without passing any judgement towards Ms Zoe, I really don't get it and I think it's a little over the top. I do understand that she is a fashion stylist and fashion may be very important to her but what's the message here? She also looks very impressed with herself and her sons wardrobe, he seriously must be the best dressed baby around.

I have no problem spending money on expensive things, especially for the quality. I will get more expensive shoes because I'm not into bunions and corns and the such. Tailor made clothing for my four month old, I couldn't see doing. And it wouldn't be because it's a waste of money, I just don't see the point. That's just me. What are your thoughts? If you have a different opinion, I would love to hear it.

On Your Marks, Get Set...

GO!!! Yep, Yep!!! It's that time again!!!

Last year I joined the lovely Ladies of Race & Relax in my first Race/Run/Walk event. I've always wanted to run since after I had my first son back in 2000. Well, three other babies later and four years after that so that my body can recover (yes, recover), I finally did it and loved it!

I have two races coming up. One in September and one in November. The one in September is very special for me because I'm doing it along side my Hubby!!! That's right, he's on like popcorn and in there like swimwear. We began our personal training Monday of this week and our group training yesterday. I find that one of the best things for couples to do to keep their marriage fun is to do fun things together. Set aside time for fun with your lover and watch your friendship blossom. Yes, there will be challenges along the way and some bumps and bruises but if you stick with it all of those things will get kicked out the door so you both can do the damn thang!

In the up coming weeks we will be hitting the gym, training with our group, a personal trainer and joining our group in a few boot camp classes. We've also shifted our eating to more energy giving foods and increased our water. The kids are also getting in to it and by next year they should be ready for their first run.

The second race I'll be doing with the Ladies of Race & Relax, details on that one will come soon.

The Price Is Always Right!

So far this summer has been wonderful and it's not over! The kids are having a blast going out, hanging out and having so much fun it pleases our hearts as their parents to know, they are well. And let me tell you, with a family our size one of the best things that could have happened to us is finding all of these different places that offer deals! If you're one of my friends you know how much I talk about finding deals, clipping coupons, and the such, right?? I'm an advocate. Shoot, I should be getting paid as much as I promote them, but the reason I do is because they work! Do you know how much we have saved? Of course you don't, lol, but trust me, the savings have been incredible.

I also get many of these deals for me so I can enjoy some R&R, some of them are specifically for me and Hubby to enjoy each other's company on date nights and for larger groups when hanging out with friends.

So many people ask me where do I get my deals from so I thought I'd put some of them together and share them with you. If you are a "deal finder" yourself, please share with me too. Sharing is caring ;-)

Most of these you can get as an App on your Android or iphone.

( I use them a lot for date nights)

(Especially for you Ladies)

Ok, that's just to list a few. Sign up for these places, watch for them in your inbox, and save, sometimes 40, 50, 60 + percent for deals.

Now if you're like me and use your smart phone for everything including coupons you have to get the Coupon App and check it often. They always have good deals. As for grocery shopping, I get my coupons from many different online sources, the papers and swapping coupons. I can't believe the difference in my grocery bill after the clerk rings up all of my coupons. I also use the Key Ring App so if I've saved any coupons to my grocery cards they will automatically be used. I love it! There are some women who can go to the grocery store and basically get all of their groceries paid for with coupons, this stuff works. I haven't gotten to that point yet but I have saved a lot, sometimes up to 40%.

Here are some keys to doing this: you have to be extremely organized about it. I use a filing system and label everything. Also, keep recycling...get rid of the old coupons to make room for the new ones. If you don't have a coupon holder/organizer, get one and label it with the labels that are provided for you. Double up. Some groceries and convenient stores allow you to use the in store deal with your own coupons, sometimes helping you to get the item for free. Have fun with it. If you miss one or two weeks, laugh it off, clean out the coupons you've missed and start over again. Some ladies who have turned this into a mini career take at least 3-4 hrs a week organizing and finding out what stores will accept what and when. You might not want to take it so seriously but it does pay to know how you can save.

Enjoy!

Blame It On the Heat

Nowadays you can find me in flip flops, tanks, sundresses, mini's (love the mini's), shorts, can't forget the sunglasses, oh and a cool drink to top it off!!! It is crazy HOTTT in Atlanta but I don't mind the heat because I always get this nice bronze color during the summer. I was just sharing that with Hubby the other day, and I like it. Looks pretty good on me.

When the summer roles around so does the crazy, ridiculous clothing, doesn't it?? The other day we were limin' in a dance club and couldn't believe our eyes. Right in front of us a girl, steady dancing, wearing a top so small it barely covered her upper body. I mean the top was just wayyyyy too small for her and to make matters worse she kept pulling it down, further drawing attention to herself. I just don't get it. I'm all for women expressing their beauty and body in whatever way(s) they choose, I just draw the line at some places and it would do them good if they did too. Certain clothing are just not made for everyone, you've got to know your limits.

The parties are crazy fun as well!! The nightlife is my bff. I have to admit it...I'm a nightlife junky!! By day I'm a rocking mother of 5, hustling and bustling to events and happenings for them. And by night I transform, pull out my cape and hit the road sometimes not returning until the next morning when the sun comes up. Hey, what can I say...I was born for this!

The fourth is rolling around and people are getting ready for the eating, hanging out, drinking, smoking, fireworks and whatnot. I just wish you all a great holiday and please be safe. It's nothing like having fun, enjoying yourself to turn around and get into trouble for something stupid, right? And let's not forget about safety when using fireworks.

Thanks to all my new followers and the beautiful emails I've been getting. Keep them coming, you are so appreciated!!
